A footbridge is a means for people to come together when there is an obstacle in between them, usually a stream. Remember the Simon & Garfunkel song “Bridge Over Troubled Waters”?
So what if the obstacle is a conflict and the footbridge is a set of communication skills? Then the “footbridge” would be a means for the people to come together to overcome their conflict.

The footbridge analogy is also applicable to my commentary posts, under the general title of UnCommon Sense, because in those posts I try to bring us together to resolve in a common sense way the problems we face in everyday life.
As you can tell from the book category of this site, managing conflict is a preoccupation of mine due to practicing general law for 44 years including 12 years of teaching law, conflict, and communication.
